John Nelson conducts two programmes with Wuppertaler Sinfonieorchester
John Nelson will be conducting two programmes with the Wuppertaler Sinfonieorchester before the end of the year. The first two performances will take place on 18 and 19 November at the Historische Stadthalle, where the audience will be treated to Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and his Piano Concerto in G, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and Berstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. Pianist Teo Gheorghiu will be joining Maestro Nelson for this occasion.
Following these concerts, John Nelson will return to Wuppertal once more to conduct the last concert performance of Massenet’s Werther on 2 December. The cast will include Sangmin Jeon, Catriona Morison and Simon Stricker.
