Jacek Kaspszyk performs with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava
Jacek Kaspszyk returns to the UK for performances with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, on 23 January at the Lighthouse in Poole, and 24 January at the Portsmouth Guildhall. He will conduct a programme featuring Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales, Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2 (with soloist Benjamin Grosvenor on piano) and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances.
Kaspszyk then travels to the Czech Republic for a concert with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, on 31 January at the City of Ostrava Cultural Centre. On the programme is Berlioz’ Carnaval Romain overture, Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 5 (soloist Jasminka Stančul, piano), Bernstein’s Divertimento for Orchestra and Ravel’s La Valse.
The Ostrava concert will be recorded by Czech Radio for a future broadcast.
